Speak a kind word to a stranger today. An uplift is always good. Your "new" self isn't that shy - so just go ahead and pick someone out of the crowd and say: hey - I love your hair, I love your voice, I love the way you treat people, you are really good at what you do, etc. Plan it right now - and make it happen today. Who knows, you might go way beyond one person. Ok - an animal counts too - of course it does - even a plant counts - but try to lift up at least one of your own species today. Enjoy.

One of the greatest ways to lift our spirits is to grow in gratitude. Let's begin today simply thinking of three individuals that have impacted our lives in a special way. Write their names in your journal and feel appreciation for them.

I got one of those emails today. The one blaming e-Coli , the fall of America, the fall of all good things as we know it...on illegal immigrants. Give me a break! How much more fear can run this friggen' world?

Do not blame anything on illegal aliens. First of all, they are none of your business unless you hired someone who you know is in the country illegally and you didn’t pay taxes on their wages. But illegal immigrants are not taking any jobs away from you or your children or your grandchildren. They are not taking medical services away from you or your children or your grandchildren. They are working in the fields, they are doing jobs, like they always have – hello – remember Cesar Chavez? – but they are NOT causing the downfall of the USofA.

You can't live in peace and partake of all the wonderful gifts God has for you and hate and fear another human being at the same time. We either believe that we are all children of a benevolent Universe and a precious creation of God, or we have damned ourselves to hell. We either accept that the law of attraction works for everyone, or we don't believe in it at all. We either stop every silly political "pork barrel" project and bring them out in the open or we shut up about the selected few that scare us because it's about people "out there" who speak a different language than us. As long as we spread malicious emails disguised as as patriotism, then we separate ourselves from the God we say we love. It leaves the door open to attack anyone different than ourselves, but in actuality, we are attacking ourselves and not living in Love. That attack can only hurt you, and it doesn't do much for healing the rest of the world either.

I absolutely delete immediately any fear or hate-based email. It’s circulating now, and it is un-Christian, un-Holy, KKK-like and spreads fear to the unconscious masses. I don’t like it. I delete it. Stop hating and fearing, all ye Wisewomen! You have control of your life. Let others have control of theirs and let the world evolve as it will with a God, much more merciful than we humans could ever hope to be. Don't make God's business your business. Your small mind cannot possibly comprehend the perfect design of God. You can only glimpse that perfection when you feel love, when you see others as yourself.

Your ego is in charge when you circulate this dribble. EGO= Edging God Out. Get yourself out of judgment and criticism of someone whose last name may end in a vowel! Insanity caused by fear has gotten us to massive destruction of our natural resources, bombing countries whose religion is different than ours, and fearing people who populate this earth, because they don't speak the same language we speak.

Get over your prejudice disguised as patriotism. It is KKK – remade. Those intolerant thoughts will make you and everyone in your world sick. Stop the insanity!

You know, politicians and the media think we're stupid. Americans need to take back their right to live their lives, invest their own money and stop giving Welfare money to the Government discuised as Social Security taxes. That's right, welfare for the government. I don't care which side of the political road you walk on, our taxes are government welfare to greedy politicians who do not represent all of the people.

Social Security is a problem and one that will continue to decline into a pit of black nothingness unless something is done now. To be very honest, I think Mr. Bush's plan is weak. Individuals under 45 should be allowed to take all of their Social Security tax and invest it how they see fit, not just a small percentage.

Lets take the case of the present system. Let's make up some easy round numbers for illustration. Suppose the government is slated to pay out $100 billion during 2006 for Social Security. And suppose that the revenue from current Social Security taxes is $300 billion. The extra $200 billion above what is needed for paying Social Security to those over 65 goes into the general revenue and is doled out as loot to various pressure groups.

Under the present system, in other words, the government drains $300 billion out of the economy and pays $100 billion to those over 65 and $200 billion to others.

Cute video to make cat people smile! Make it a Great Day!

It strikes me how women over fifty can become a powerful "woman of influence" in their world. I think it behooves us to center, find out what we're lusting after (what is the highest value we're going after at the moment?), and reorganize those choices to make sense in our life.

We're entering a new political benchmark with Nancy Pelosi as Democratic House Leader. It was comforting to see her holding her grandbaby and having other grandchildren around her after her swearing in. Enter the feminine leader who has a family that means a great deal to her! She's taking a leadership role with grace and giving us women a chance to have a strong yet maternal mentor. We've not had much of that in the past.

We've seen history reveal women in politics, yes. We've seen wives of presidents, yes. But often the pendulum shifts from being a hard-nosed, "just like a man" woman, to a Tammy Wynette, "stand by your man" woman. There's been no balance of strong and feminine at the same time as showing great leadership. Other countries have fantastic women leadership. Women have come forward as leaders in other nations to take on poverty, war, oppression and starvation.

The opportunity of midlife and menopause is the "contrast" it offers to "women of a certain age". Up to this point we may have been serving others in a loving and nurturing role. We may not have learned how to take care of and nurture ourselves.

We may find that our career leaves us empty each day. Our spouses or significant others may be going through their own midlife journey, and suddenly we cannot understand nor help each other through this transition.

Midlife Women need comfort and healthy habits that may have been side tracked or non-existent up to this point. We may have been eating a diet of processed foods for years.

Menopause offers us a "wake-up jolt" in the form of "hot energy" flashes that say, "Hey you beautiful broad! How about taking care of your own business for awhile? How about paying attention to yourself, your health, your creativity, your wealth and your opportunities to shine?" We have a lovely body, we have a lovely system in place that gently, or maybe not so gently brings us back to ourSelves.

How did the guy who calls himself the laziest, most unemployable man in America start two companies that were both featured on Inc. Magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing companies -- one of them listed twice and ranked #2, and the other growing from a one-man operation to $300 million in sales and 1100 employees?

Think it took a lot of hard, back-breaking work? Hours of shoulder-to-the-wheel and nose-to-the-grindstone stuff?

Absolutely not!

"I never did any work. No hard work. No soft work. Not even smart work. Work was never necessary, he says.

Fred Gratzon's delightful and hilarious book, The Lazy Way to Success: How to Do Nothing and Accomplish Everything, is packed with "aha! moments" for anyone embarking upon the certain way of thinking and acting.

Pinging my way to wealth. :)
