I was so impressed with this fundraiser, I had to share it with you. We have "pretty little cows" in Denver now as art and they're kinda cute! :) Young's Jersey Dairy has a twist on a fundraiser that I love. It has all the boomer women traits: giving back, creativity, beauty and charm. I love it!

Udder Chaos Opportunities

Each cow will have four stakeholders associated with it -- a sponsor, an artist, a charity, and Young's Jersey Dairy. Each one of the stakeholders has specific responsibility for the cow. It’s what makes Udder Chaos an impressive technique to get your name, your talent, and your charity’s name out to the public in a very unusual and creative way!

Udder chaos is on hiatus until 2007, but if you're in the area, go visit them!

I ran across Chris's blog "Playonwords.org" and saw this interesting link:

Students from the University of Michigan have constructed an automated Rubik’s Cube Solver Robot. It’s quite entertaining to watch the machine work with absolutely no human interaction and go from a jumbled mess of colors to a solid block of hexachromatic victory. Video included.

I really HATE mood swings. My mood swings affect me thusly. I wake up, feel like death warmed over. I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach like I've done something very, very wrong. If I choose to "hang out" with that awful, lower than a worm’s belly feeling, and not do anything, then I'm gone for the day. No connection to others, feeling phony, feeling like an orphan in the world. Disconnected, uninspired, impending doom, it is all there. I cannot get over that feeling UNLESS I take a walk, drink fresh juice, eat healthy and write in my Beyond Freedom journal. Embracing the “icky feeling, working through it, treating it with balance, respect and gratitude for showing me that I need attention, now that’s what growing into grace is all about!

There is a cute "light" site for Boomers put out by Monster.com. The site is called eons.com and its rather like aol for boomers (easy to navigate - non-threatening). The cool entry into the site is stating a life goal you'd like to achieve, then setting a date for that. They cover topics like money, love, hobbies, obits (I thought that was a little weird, but oh well), goals, lifemap, fun and a search engine called cRANCKy. They're heavy on the advertising right now, and light on the content, however the posts of other boomers is what interests me. I enjoy reading the pulse of this demographic and hearing how others feel about subjects pertaining to us. I believe they need more boomer-aged content writers and more depth. We're (boomers) an intelligent lot and like to delve deep. Check it out though. It's interesting!

What kinds of information would you like to see on eons.com?
